Our Little Dancing Queen

Khloe Girl was beyond excited for her dance recital.  She has been asking for months "Is it next week?"  It finally happened this week, and she was so excited to wear her curlers and get ready.

She looked so beautiful and loved dancing around the house in her costume!

She kept making me laugh with all of her faces!

Here she is all ready to go.

This was the first of two crying spells.  She needed Mommy.  I dried her tears and sat with her until it was time for the big dance number.

She did so Great!  She danced to every part and was a star.

I was so proud of my little princess.  It was such a crazy feeling to be sitting at her first dance recital.  I kept thinking back to when I found out she was a girl and all the dreams I had for her.  Then I thought of holding her in the NICU hoping that moments like tonight were in her future.  Now here we were at her first recital. 

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you Khloe!  You were such a brave, big girl tonight!

She got a trophy at the end and wouldn't let it go.  (The next morning, she tottled out of her bedroom with it in hand.)

Thanks to Ms. Erika for a wonderful recital.  She is so great with Khloe, and Khloe LOVES her.

Porter was such a trooper for the 3 hours we were there.  When Khloe started to cry during the final number, he rushed to her aid with me and gave her the sweetest kiss on the cheek.  He even told her he'd do her chores the next day.  What a great big brother!
